孙村镇位于沿江开放城市——芜湖市西南40公里，距繁昌县城8公里。全镇地域面积153平方公里，辖21个村和2个社区，拥有耕地3.9万亩，林地9.6万亩。常住人口7万人，其中外来经商务工人员8000余人。境内有距今220-240万年古人类早期活动遗址、国家文物保护单位“人字洞”，国家AAAA级风景区、国家级森林公园马仁奇峰，新四军三支队司令部旧址。境内铁矿、铜矿、石灰石、膨润土、沸石矿储量丰富，钾矿探明储量3000万吨、墨玉石矿5000万立方。

    Located in southwest of Wuhu, an open city along Changjiang River, Suncun Town is 40 kilometers away from Wuhu and 8 kilometers from Fanchang.   Occupying an area of 153 square kilometers, the whole town governs 21 villages and 2 communities and has 39,000 mu farmland and 96,000 mu woodland. The permanent population is 70,000 including 8,000 migrant workers and businessmen. The town boasts such places of interest as Early Activity Site of Ancient Human Being 2200000-2400000 years ago, National Cultural Relics Protection Unit “Reverse Y Shaped Cave”, AAAA Level Scenic Area, National Forest Park “Maren Peak”, and Site of Headquarters of No.3 Division of New Fourth Army. Within the territory, reserve of iron ore, copper ore, limestone, bentonite, and zeolite ore is abundant. Proved reserve of potassium ore and black jade ore is 30,000,000 and 50,000,000 tons respectively.

    2008年全镇拥有法人企业380余家，三次产业总产出36.1亿元，规模以上工业企业达到89家，拥有自营进出口企业24家，出口交货值达18亿元人民币。全年财政收入1.5亿元，农民人均纯收入6766元，服装企业年加工各类针梭织服装8000万件（套），机械铸造企业加工各类铸铁件30万吨。

    In 2008, the whole town has over 380 corporate enterprises including 89 large-scaled enterprises and 24 enterprises with self-support import and export rights, realizing a total output of three industries (Agriculture, industry and service) being 3,610,000,000 Yuan including 1,800,000,000 Yuan from export. Financial income of the whole year is 150,000,000 Yuan and per capita income of farmers reaches as much as 6,766 Yuan. Garment enterprises annually produce 80,000,000 pieces or (sets) of various knitted and woven garments, and mechanical and casting enterprises annually processes 300,000 tons of various casting parts.

    通过近年来快速发展，孙村镇产业结构得到进一步优化，产品质量和档次得到较大提高，已形成以轻纺服装产业集中区、机械铸造产业集中区和旅游风景区为载体，以八大企业集团为龙头，以装备制造、自主品牌服装、建材采掘、旅游、商贸为支撑的三产经济体系格局。

    Through rapid development in recent years, industrial structure of Suncun Town is further optimized, and product quality and level is greatly improved. The town has an formed an economic system pattern carried by Light Texture and Garment Industry Zone, and Mechanical and Casting Industry Zone and Scenic areas, led by eight corporations and supported by equipment manufacture, independent brand garments, building material mining, tourism, commerce and trade.

    安徽孙村轻纺服装产业集中区，规划面积10平方公里。经过近几年的开发与建设，建成区面积5.3平方公里。园区实现“五通一平”，基础设施日臻完善，已形成集纺织、染整、水洗、印绣花、成衣加工、包装和物流为一体完整的纺织服装产业链，集聚效应和规模效应凸显。安徽孙村轻纺服装产业集中区先后被授予为安徽省轻纺服装创业基地、中国产业集群品牌50强。

    With a planning area of 10 square kilometers, Sunsun Light texture and Garment Industry Zone of Anhui now has a built area of 5.3 square kilometers after a few years’ the development and construction. The Zone realizes “Five connections and one leveling” and infrastructure improvement, having formed a complete chain of textile and garment industries integrating textile, dyeing and finishing, washing, India embroidery, finished garment processing, packaging and logistics, highlighting agglomeration effects and scale effect. 区，规划面积5平方公里。一期已投入资金2000余万元，建成区面积达到2平方公里。已入驻机械铸造企业37家，年销售额达到3.5亿元。

    In recent years, mechanical casting industry in Suncun Town has fast developed and upgraded. Mechanical Casting Industry Zone is planned to build in Suncun in 2008 with a planning area of 5 square kilometers. More than 2,000 million RMB has been invested for the first phase and the built-up area is 2 square kilometers. 37 mechanical casting enterprises have entered the zone with annual sales reaching 350 million RMB.
